Common Questions
How long does a Rolfing session last?
Sessions are for 75 minutes.
How much does a session cost?
Payment is due at the end of each session (cash/cheque only). Sessions cost $100. Rebates are available, under "Remedial Massage" through most health funds. A 15% discount is available for Health Care Card holders.
What should I wear?
The Rolfer needs to use "skin to skin" contact to provide the friction interface needed to release fascia effectively. Therefore, the typical attire for clients is underwear, or whatever variation they feel comfortable in.
How often should I get Rolfed?
It is recommended that you have no more than one or two sessions a week in order to allow your body to become accustomed to the changes taking place.
Is Rolfing painful?
Working with chronically tight tissue can sometimes be painful. However the Rolfer will be mindful of working within your pain tolerance levels. While discomfort might be experienced at some stage, clients often find the sessions to be relaxing.
